The project is dedicated to the development, analysis and selection of realistic cosmological and astrophysical models in various modified (non-Einsteinian) theories of gravity in order to obtain a good fit of the theoretical results with current observational data. The project explores the nature of Dark energy and Dark matter, astrophysical and cosmological aspects of the Axion Physics, other topical issues of modern astrophysics and cosmology. The complex of research laboratories Cosmology was established (head – Prof. Alexei Starobinsky, h = 60, Academician of the RAS, chief researcher at the Landau Institute for Theoretical Physics (RAS, Moscow), leading researcher at Cosmology laboratory of KFU, born 1946; co-director – Sergey Sushkov, h = 14, born 1961). The complex consists of three laboratories: OpenLab “Theoretical Cosmology” (head – Sergey Sushkov), OpenLab “Axion Electrodynamics” (head – professor Alexandr Balakin, h = 13, born 1957), OpenLab “Space Kinetics” (head – professor YuryIgnatyev, h = 4, , born 1947).
The leading scientists were invited to expand the area of research and training in relativistic astrophysics and cosmology: Alexei Starobinsky, h = 60, Academician of RAS, chief researcher at the Landau Institute for Theoretical Physics (RAS, Moscow), leading researcher of the KFU laboratory Cosmology, born 1946; Sergey Odintsov, h = 62, professor of the Catalan Institute of Advanced Studies (Barcelona, Spain), born 1957; Shin’ichi Nojiri, h = 50, professor of the University of Nagoya, director of Kobayashi-Maskawa Institute for the Origin of Particles and the Universe (Japan), born 1962; M.Volkov, h = 21, professor of the University of Tours (France).
Main partners: Landau Institute for Theoretical Physics, RAS (Moscow), Catalan Institute of Advanced Studies (Barcelona, Spain), University of Tours (France), Nagoya University (Nagoya, Japan), Yerevan State University (Armenia).
